Hey! How's your summer? I can't believe this week it will be August! NOT. READY.
The girl is back from her ballet camp (and I survived helping her pack (the list!) and then being without her for two weeks!) and promptly upon returning had her wisdom teeth out.
We sent another boy off to camp this week, and are keeping busy getting his brother ready for his black belt test next month.
Oh yeah, I organized the 5th annual neighborhood Bike Parade.
We built a gate (more fence!) and I've been getting my trash kicked at Settlers. By my youngest.
I read a lot in June, but July has been so crazy. I did read Harper Lee's new book (LOVED IT) - did you?
We have enjoyed a bunch of up-close and personal fireworks shows. My neighbors all went nuts on the fourth AND Pioneer Day this year. Nothing like lying in your own front yard watching them go off right above you - and then feeling little firework bits hit you.
We are trying to plan an upcoming camping trip, watching for eggs from our chickens (not yet!), working on a anime costume, getting ready for school (noooooo!!!!), teaching the boys to mow the lawn...but have found some time to splash and play, too.
I LOVE when there isn't much going on and I can just savor a summer's evening.
I am SO not ready for the lunch-packing, early morning, dance/taekwondo/library/OT, etc. taxiing.
........
I haven't found time and energy to be in this space much, and I've thought maybe I'm done here.
But I don't know, I like talking too much - and I think I still have things to say.
