My mom comes up to our house every Wednesday. And we go to her house every Friday.
It rocks. I can run errands. Or exercise. Or clean. We plan field trips and dentist appointments for Wednesdays or Fridays - so Mom can come, too.
Wednesday I was feeling sniffly, and asked my mom if she could bring me some hot cocoa (we are out!) and pink ric-rac I needed for a project when she came up.
Turned out she couldn't come that day - but came the next - bringing me selections of both hot cocoa and pink ric rac. And it worked out so much better -because I ended up with a bad headache and spent much of the day in bed. So glad she was there.
Friday, feeling much better - we went down to her house - and she helped the kids with school while I sewed all morning. And she changed thread and stuff for me on her fancy new Bernina.
I sewed ALL MORNING. I got a project started AND finished! (Cue Hallelujah Chorus).
And she fed my kids and made me grilled cheese for lunch.
And watched the kids while I went and visited with Missy.
So nice.
Did I mention that I got a whole project done? It's a gift, so after it's given I'll show you what I made.
I just wanted my mom to know that I do not take her for granted. I am so grateful for everything she does for me!
Thanks, Mom! Love ya!
