I picked up a few sheets of fun paper and some sticker labels (Martha Stewart's line) at the craft store on Saturday.
Anyway, I've made little books like this for my daughter before, she mostly uses them as textbooks for her dolls (yes, she goes through phases where her 'girls' need tutoring), but Mary Beth totally inspired me to make more this weekend.
And I totally stole the label idea from her. They make the books so much cuter, don't they? We're going to write the kids' names on them.
The books are just scrapbook paper covers with blank paper (1/2 pages) folded inside and sewn down the folds. I prefer the zig-zag stitch for booklets- I use it when I put together my mommy tips booklets, too.
Some of these are headed for the church bag.
They're perfect for the new colored pencils we found (on clearance at Target - woo hoo!). Love them.
Thomas is much more interested indrawing and writing now - and he's working hard at it, so I thought having more fun blank books around for him to use would be a good thing.
And they are just making me happy today.
