I can't believe that I've sat down to post something 100 times! Crazy. Came faster than I thought...
Without getting too mushy let me say 'Thank You' to you for reading my blog. Blogging has been so much fun - it's been so inspiring to connect with so many cool, creative people out there. It's been good for me!
Hannah's post about 'blog-friends' the other day was interesting. I had been thinking about that, too. With a lot of my 'real-life' friends I know the 'big-stuff' about them, but not the little details that I know about some of you, my blog-friends. With you, I probably don't know where you live, what your husband does, what kind of car you drive, but I know about that cute quilt you made the other day and the funny thing your kid said. Who is more of a 'friend'?
So, I've made a LOT more of those little gift tags. More than I can use. Would you like some? I thought I'd have a little giveaway today. I have 10 sets of 5 tags to give, so leave me a comment and you can have some. If I have more than 10 comments I'll draw names on Tuesday night. Since I've never had that many comments on one post before, your chances of winning are excellent! :) Come on, leave me a comment, make me draw names! :) I LOVE comments so much - they make me feel like I'm back in junior high and just got handed an intricately folded piece of notebook paper. Plus, I just might get to know some more of you! (BTW, family is NOT excluded...that means you, Kellie! :)
On Saturday, Princess and I headed out to a wedding reception. It was Hawaiian themed (which I loved, being married in Hawaii myself). They had the most amazing flowers flown in. Handfuls of Plumeria flowers strewn across all of the tables. Princess and I put some in our hair. Princess especially loved that some of the centerpieces had live fish in them - she sat right across from one. She is an excellent date for such events! :) Much easier than taking the boys! Speaking of boys, they weren't happy to see me go - as you can see in the photo where I tried to show off my new skirt. I bought this cool fabric a while back, and my mom sewed it up for me (thanks, Mom!). I think it's a simple enough pattern (Simplicity 4881) that I could do it myself, so I might try.
A Happy Day to you all!
