so, would you like to know why i'm so proud of my green bathroom? it started out with the most awful, ugly, cheap, vinyl-y wallpaper. with a pink and blue brushstroke design. ick.
i started to strip the wallpaper off 2 summers ago - and then got pregnant and that was the end of that project. when i started to strip it i drew a little on the wall with a marker. and then it became customary for everyone who came over to write or draw a little (or big) something on our bathroom wall. since that was 2 years ago most of the walls were full of fun drawings.
i took pictures of all of it before i redid it - and since my accent color is black, i bought black frames matted for 2 pictures - and i printed out some of the pictures in B/W to hang on my wall. i actually printed 6 pictures, which gives me 2 to rotate in sometimes. here's what's hanging there right now:
by eva
this one is originally by eva, but was
drawn over by princess - who added the hat and glasses... last
summer? and apparently it is now a portrait of princess.
by kari (cute cat by crystal)
anyway, i'm lucky to know such creative people - and the 'graffiti' looks great framed! hard to get a picture of them (glare, etc). but i think it's fun and people who come over will be happy to see some of the old bathroom, i think.
plus, i'm going to hang up a whiteboard in there to keep the tradition alive!
