Odds and ends of our vacation:
Plenty of swimming.
We had tickets to see Aladdin at the Tuacahn theater. Tuacahn is this amazing outdoor theater right in a canyon - and the rock is the backdrop.
I snapped a couple (bad) shots before the sun went down and the show started, but may I just say that the boys LOVED this show? Monkey was skeptical initially, but it had live animals, fireworks, a 3D segment, people flying, and all kinds of craziness. Tuacahn puts on way quality shows and we loved this one.
It's really small, but has some cool stuff, and a great education room that my kids played in, put on puppet shows, and did fossil rubbings for quite a while.
We stopped by the St. George LDS temple. The first temple built in the west (oldest still standing).
The whiteness of the temple is so gorgeous against the red rock - of course you don't see that when you're right there (you can see a taste of it in this photo from minigolf, but it's not hard to find better ones).
We kept driving by this little used book store (I think it was this one) and decided to pop in one day. It's in a cute house and we loved it. Just the right place for browsing for books. They were everywhere.
This was a pretty action-packed vacation for our family. Our beach vacations consist of... beach. With maybe a day or two at Legoland or Seaworld. But mostly beach. And you don't have to plan that. Beach takes up all your time, is relaxing and awesome.
So it was kind of fun to have to 'find' stuff to do... but it was definitely more work. Still, we had a great time. One more adventure coming up!
