Monday was a much needed day off! And we were really productive!
Seriously, Aaron cleaned out the garage, changed the oil in my van, took a load to the dump AND a load to the thrift store while i cleaned, vacuumed everywhere, folded laundry, made four loaves of bread and a batch of enchiladas.
I think there's like 20 other things we did, but who's counting?
Anyway, it's amazing what you can get done when you're not homeschooling (and your husband isn't working). Sometimes I forget how much time homeschooling takes up. Our house would be so much cleaner...
Also the kids had NO activities that day. I didn't have to go anywhere! Between dance, taekwondo, speech therapy and math help, occupational therapy, vision therapy (all three kiddos!) and specialist appointments for the redhead... I'm exhausted. So glad they can walk to piano lessons, scouts and church activities!
Tuesday the redhead had one of those appointments and Aaron came with us to the downtown hospital. Then we took the rest of the morning and spent time with him at a military museum and the zoo. The rest of the day was pretty chill, too, and Aaron did most of my afternoon driving.
It was awesome. And I felt so recharged Tuesday night! If only we could have a four-day weekend every week.
*These photos are random, but I recently reorganized our shoe cubbies in the playroom, and everyone has their own box for hats/gloves, etc. The boys also have one for socks, share both, and hadn't learned which boxes are whose yet, so I painted these quick tags. Can't decide if they'll stay, they may be too busy for me? But they'll help until everyone knows where everything goes!
