We draw names amongst my siblings, but just to give everyone a little something, the kiddos and I made stamped tea towels.
Gathered supplies: tea towels (I ordered these), ink pad, blocks, and sticky-backed craft foam.
I tried it out by cutting random 'rectangles' and sticking them to a block.
It started well, but then I saw the tag and realized I was stamping ON THE BACK of the towel. Oh well, I kept that one.
The girl used a single triangle to make a bunting towel.
I made this squares stamp.
The redhead only made one towel. He had a different vision in mind for his, though he used the same stamp - that's what's cool.
Monkey made circly shapes. Also he's wearing a PJ top and shorts. So...
We also tried dotting with a pencil eraser.
Monkey made this one with random scraps of foam, flipping the block after every stamp. The end result was awesome.
I didn't get photos of my cross shaped stamp... and one other one? But you get the idea.
I wrapped the ones for my sibs, a few others for friends were simply tied with ribbon. The kiddos' piano teacher had a little Nutcracker notebook tucked in their for good measure.
This gift idea is a keeper. We will definitely be doing it again.
