This year for the neighbors on our street we sent out 'Christmas simmers'. We do this all the time, throw some clementine peels, a cinnamon stick and some cloves in a pot and our house smells awesome.
Aaron thought that this was a weird gift. Again. But I was set on it. He's talked me out of this for a few years.
It was SO fast to put together! Sliced up some lemons and clementines, added a few cloves, a cinnamon stick, and a few cranberries (just for the pretty factor) to ziplock bags, and added a topper.
I forgot to take a picture of the back of the tag - there were directions... oh wait, I made these tags, duh. Here's the graphic:
I said they're good for 1-2 days, but really we've let ours sit on the stove for up to 5 or so, taking out icky peels and replacing with fresh (and more water) as needed.
So hopefully the neighbors liked these because they were simple to put together!
Now I'm looking for more simmer 'recipes' that aren't as Christmasy. Because I don't do candles or air fresheners. And these smell so ... clean and fresh and real.
