Or, woo hoo for being productive.
It's all about lists over here these days. This week I've had stacks of papers, books, and calendars spread out on the table. If I put it away, it would not be finished. I am determined to rough out the year and be more organized than last year. Because apparently things happen to us in the spring to throw us off (better not be an annual event!). Anyway, worked a lot, and placed several amazon and rainbow resource orders and now I feel pretty good about fall. Not ready for it yet (esp. mentally!) but getting there.
This fall is gonna be nuts. It's always busy, but this one will be worse. So I need to be on the ball.
I had high hopes for summer, doing a little extra school stuff to finish off a few subjects, plus (OF COURSE) everyday math and lots of art projects that didn't happen last year. When the girl finished her first year of school, had a real summer, and came back to math in the fall, she was SO frustrated with herself for forgetting things. Seriously. We both swore that wouldn't happen again. I am big on math every day. But this summer.... man, it's been a doozy! When we are home, we are enjoying doing nothing. Not that we've been home much.
Oh, July, you used to be cool, man! What happened?!
July used to be our wide open month. No dance, no camps, no ... anything.
NOT SO MUCH this year, huh? Crazy. It looks like all the other months on the calendar! Good thing we don't plan vacations in July because... it couldn't have happened anyway.
