My daughter's church camp (2nd one) was Harry Potter themed! Her first year, last year, was Star Wars! If next year is Lord of the Rings, you KNOW they're making the theme just for her!
Anyway, it's been super busy, but I couldn't send her to camp decoration-less, could I? I don't know how moms do that...
So I printed off some keys (they are double-sided plain paper), added wings, and we threaded them with a needle. Plenty of thread so she can hang them up near her tent. I think this is adorable. One key has a broken wing - get it?
We were quite last minute thinking of her 'secret sister' gifts (small things secretly exchanged every day) except for one of the bracelets that was done before last week's camp, thank goodness. But we tried to go with the HP theme, too, and I think we did good! (I'm noting the excessive WE here - but she was really short on time, so of course I helped!)
I personalized an adorable HP valentine.
She took a Hogwarts robe (in case it is needed for a skit - I'm hoping they do a song from Harry and the Potters... and tape it) and her timeturner, her snitches tshirt, and some WANTED posters to hang up, too. Her group did a sorting feast (RAVENCLAW! Just what she wanted!) and made wands ahead of time, so she didn't need a wand.
All in all: Dumbledorable.
