Yule, Yule, wonderful Yule, shines over snow white forest,
Heavens are crowned with sparkling lights,
Shimmering boughs in all of God's nights.
Psalms that are sung from time to time,
eternal longing for peace sublime.
Yule, Yule, wonderful Yule, shines over snow white forest.
Come, Come, blessed Yule, lower your wings all whited.
Over the cries of war and alarm,
over the sighs of human harm,
over the dear ones laid to rest,
over the young ones' newly made nest.
Come, come, blessed Yule, lower your wings all whited.

Happy St. Lucia's Day!
We celebrated our traditional way, and had a yummy breakfast, followed by a reading of The Tomten and The Children of Noisy Village. We made a thoughtful effort to simplify our schedules this fall/winter, so we didn't participate in our local Lucia program like we usually do. We all missed it, but it was the right choice for our family this year. But we will be having our own Swedish feast tonight.
God Jul!
