A spur of the moment decision - we hit Cove Fort for one last adventure.
Cove Fort was set up as a way-station (bed and breakfast) for travelers and to protect the post office and then telegraph station in the 1860's.

That desk is the post office. The whole thing.
The telegraph desk is in the same room.
It was a fun stop. The tour guides were fabulous and the kids had fun! The fact that it fit in with our history perfectly was a bonus.
