We have put a few presents under the tree.
And the kids left them alone.
Really??
No, they glanced at them, but then left them alone.
They are so weird.
When I was a kid (and a teenager, and maybe an adult) I had so much fun rearranging the presents. I loved to try and find the most aesthetically pleasing arrangement. And my siblings would come through and stack them a different way, so I'd have to do them again, of course.
It's not about the presents, it's about the boxes. I just think they're fun to look at and arrange.
Okay, maybe I am a champion gift-guesser, but that's another story.
Finally, finally, on Sunday, Thomas grabbed a gift and shook it. "Legos!" he cried (he's right - and such a distinctive sound you can't miss that one).
Suddenly all three wanted in. Investigating which gift is for whom, giving them little shakes and squeezes.
I was so proud.
And then of course they left them all scattered haphazardly... so I had to rearrange them. :)
