Hats
The Green Lesson is tonight - so I'm working on that - will try and put up an outline tomorrow. In the meantime...
Sunday was like Christmas. We'd been really in the mood to make a ham (mmmm) and a pumpkin pie (from the pumpkins we grew) and so we turned it into a pseudo-Christmas dinner. Or October-giving. Or Pre-Halloween-giving.
Anyway, it smelled GOOD in our house!
And as long as we were making some good grub, why not share? We invited my parents and brother up for dinner...
where mom gave me my new hat!

It matches the scarf she made me last year. Pretty!
Mom had sent me this link to choose a hat. So many free hat patterns I didn't know where to start - if you're into knitting or crocheting, check it out. Then I remembered this hat featured on CRAFT:, so she made me that one.

Mom crocheted it, and said it went together really fast.
I like it because it's soft, but also because I can tuck all my hair in it if it's pulled up. That's not possible or looks dumb with most hats. Gotta love the berets.
And it fits my Big Head. Nice.
Thanks, Mom!
p.s. here's a picture of me looking all suspicious-like.
Because apparently, that is the expression I have most often while trying to take self-portraits.
No, seriously, are you guys up to something?

I love the color of that hat - it's beautiful on you.
I think we all eat better on Conference Sunday (okay - not me - I couldn't resist eating leftover Rice Krispy treats all day). My friend's 5-year-old told me that it was the best day ever because her family had a good breakfast, lunch, AND dinner! Amazing what you can do when you're at home together for a while.

Your mom is so crafty!
It's probably too late for your lesson (or not, since you're 2 hrs behind) but I use washable nursing pads. Okay. Not really because of the environment, I must add, but because paper/disposable ones make me red and itchy. BUT, it's good for the environment.
