I realized on New Year's Eve that I had no calendar for the new year. So I spent some of that night ordering one. I made one on the Costco photo website - It was surprisingly inexpensive, and I might as well have pictures I like on my calendar, right? Pictures of my kiddos? I actually put a couple craft photos on, too. :) It was a fun thing to go through my photos and pick ones that make me happy. For Christmas I ordered Shutterfly books for our parents - which were fun to create and well-received. So I've been doing a lot of this photo layout stuff lately. Takes me back to high school yearbook!
For the months with the kids' birthdays (they were all born in different months) I put a layout of just pictures of them. Most photos are from from last year. I picked a couple of shots from other years - a couple I can show you!
September:
One of my favorite photos ever. Princess and Thomas Sept. 2005 - we were hiking in the woods and this shot just happened. Too bad Monkey was only a few months old. I like the light on the leaves and the bend in the path.
July:
Princess and Thomas July 2004 - at my brother's wedding. My sister took this one. My mom made Princess' dress (pink linen and tulle) and Thomas' outfit (vest, shorts, pink bow-tie).
Gorgeous.
And some shots you've seen before:
One of the shots for June is the Twirling Montage that you probably don't remember.
March is a collage of Olive & Archie pictures.
It was fun and a fitting way to spend New Year's Eve, I think - maybe it'll become a tradition for me? Except that I could really use a calendar NOW - I'm using a scribbled makeshift one until my new one arrives!
Hurry, calendar!
